Godwin

Godwin is the founder and MD of Encorex (Pty) Ltd involved in bulk LPG, gas equipment, and energy strategy consulting. He is also co-founder of Taurus Energy, which does LPG cylinder distribution in Cape Town, South Africa

Godwin has had over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, predated by 9 years in the minerals industry. He served as Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Planning at PetroSA for 5 years after rising through the technical and managerial ranks from a Geoscientist in 1999. He also saved as Commercial Manager for Exploration and Production from 2005 to 2006.

In this role, he covered the Sable and Oribi-Oryx oil fields as well as the South Coast Gas and the FA-EM gas fields, offshore of South Africa. Godwin has worked on business development projects in various countries including the USA, Argentina, Nigeria, Egypt, Yemen, South Africa, Ghana, and Kazakhstan and he is thus familiar with a broad range of world petroleum fiscal regimes.

Godwin’s experience spans the petroleum value chain from upstream, midstream, and downstream. He holds an MBA (UCT) and a BSC (Eng) Hons (UZ) in addition to several professional and leadership qualifications.

Godwin serves as a Non-Executive Director of Tongaat Hullet and he currently chairs the Technical Committee of One Gas Resources.
